Parts are intelligent objects that can be placed on a page. They allow you to lay the page out as you want, not in a fixed way and certainly not using a template. Every single page in your site can have a different layout; simply drag the parts around on the screen!

We spent a long time looking at web design and layout. It seemed web pages are generally made up of the same collection of things, be they search tools, FAQ’s, contact forms etc. So we developed an intelligent object for each of these. We also developed an advanced Rich Content Editor that is as powerful as most professional web design tools, yet easy enough for anyone to use.

Parts already know how to perform their individual tasks, and how to interact with other objects on the page. They also know how to present themselves using elements of your visual architecture.

All parts share some common features such as the ability to schedule the release and withdrawal of content at a given time. Many parts can animate their content allowing for interesting scrolling fading or sliding effects. Workflow enables publishers to review content added by authors and approve it. Some parts can publish their content as an RSS feed. Other parts can take an RSS feed to display on a page.
